Taking a Shine To You
Metallic paper and ink are the basis for this shiny superstar.
Materials:
Cardstock (red, white, and gold)
Adhesive (rolling tape or craft glue)
Gold paint pen
Heart punches in one or more sizes
On a piece of 4” x 6” red paper, trace and cut out a heart shape. Write whatever message you wish on the heart with gold ink then set aside to dry. Cut a 5” x 7” piece of gold paper and carefully punch hearts at each corner and equidistant around the perimeter. Next, glue a 4” x 6” piece of white paper onto the middle of the gold — and finally, the red message heart in the center of the white. This card is a perfect match with a gift of sparkling jewelry or golden, bubbly champagne!

Mix up the thickness of the decorations with alphabet beads — just remember to use an adhesive that’s as strong as your love!
Window to Your Heart
Materials:
Cardstock (red, pink, and white)
Clear acetate paper
Small heart punch
Adhesive (this roller works well)
Make a card with clear windows and heart confetti for a DIY with serious wow factor. Use the heart punch to make red and pink confetti, then cut a 5” x 12” piece of white cardstock and fold it in half to make a 5” x 6” card. Next, cut a 4” x 5” piece of red cardstock before tracing and cutting a wide heart out of the red paper, one side of the white card, and two hearts out of the acetate. The heart-shaped holes in the white and red pieces should align. The trick to making this design is to keep everything as flat as possible — when adhering the two pieces of acetate, be certain there are no bumps in the adhesive. If the glue tape goes outside the edges, don’t worry. The last step is to cover up all those seams with the rectangle of red cardstock. Voila: You’re a veritable Valentine virtuoso!
